Electricians

Provision of installation works for all aspects of the electrical trade within site based premises; all in accordance with company and legislative requirements. Engineers will work on an individual basis or as part of a team. Candidates will have completed a recognised apprenticeship or equivalent and hold a current IEE Wiring regulations 17th edition Rules and Regulations.

Painter - BP

Working as part of our Technical Services team in the Aberdeen, Dyce area, the Painter will be responsible for carrying out maintenance painting and decoration works and small decoration projects, as well as minor patching and repairs to building fabric.

The successful candidate must have worked previously as a Painter in a facilities or maintenance business, have experience of working in a live client site, be safety conscious and be able to work unsupervised. The Painter must also be willing to get involved in other works by assisting the multi-skilled team in other areas where possible, and be able to demonstrate additional skills in the Building Maintenance field.

In addition, candidates must be able to deliver excellent customer service, be flexible and work well under pressure, and have a friendly and approachable disposition.

Insulation Operative

Reporting to the Insulation Supervisor, the Insulation Operative will be responsible for installing cavity wall, loft insulation and/or draught proofing; all in accordance with Company and industry safety standards, as well as customer requirements.

Candidates must be enthusiastic and a good team player, physically fit, and possess strong communication and listening skills. Moreover, the successful candidate will be willing to travel as and when required, hold a current CSCS card and a current Disclosure Scotland/PVG check (or willing to undergo this process).

Previous experience working in a similar role would be advantageous, however not essential, as full training can be provided.

* Please note that this position is initially for a three-month fixed term contract.

Heating Engineer

The Heating Engineer must hold valid Domestic Gas qualifications and is responsible for attending on time and carrying our annual services as per the weekly service run, completing heating jobs accurately on PDA’s, first time fix of repairs, communicating positively with tenants, troubleshooting ongoing issues and raising concerns with line manager, updating and taking instruction from the office admin team and liaising with local housing authorities with the ability to work on-call evenings and weekends according to the pre-planned on-call Rota.

Operations Manager – FM Minor Projects

The Operations Manager will be responsible for delivering engineering solutions that align to the company’s supply chain strategies and vendor agreements, all in accordance with budgets, Health & Safety and operations processes, legislative requirements and client specification. The role will be responsible for analysing construction/tender drawings, performance specification and other documentation to prepare time, cost, materials and labour estimated, as well as act as a technical expert to support the project services site teams, ensuring that they are fully conversant with expected technical delivery requirements whilst providing an audit and compliance service. Moreover, there will also be a responsibility to assist the Business Development Team with technical surveys, assessments of costs, bids and proposals for prospective opportunities.

Candidates will have a minimum of three years’ experience as a mechanical/electrical estimator and/or project engineer, be familiar with tender documentation and its completion, be familiar with all aspects of project management and proven experience of site operations. In addition, the successful candidate will also be a critical thinker with excellent communication skills, possess a proactive, hands-on approach, good decision making and project planning skills, as well as a proven track record in driving technical and operations improvement.

Operatons Manager – FM Mobile Services

Reporting to the Business Unit Director FM, the Operations Manager will focus on close and contact interaction with clients to ensure the successful delivery of Facilities Management, Commercial Servicing and Maintenance & Repairs to achieve the highest standards in customer satisfaction.

Working closely with the FM Mobile Services team, the role will be responsible for managing the allocated engineering teams to deliver planned maintenance, reactive works and projects on time and on budget, all in accordance with the Company’s quality requirements, health & safety and operations processes, legislation and client specification. The Operations Manager will also be responsible for assisting the Business Development Team with technical surveys, assessments of costs, bids and proposals for prospective opportunities.

Candidates will have a minimum of five years’ hard FM (particularly HVAC and electrical) and operational management experience, a proven track record of operational improvement, experience in the successful delivery of FM, commercial maintenance, servicing and repairs, and an excellent level of communication and customer interaction. The successful candidate will also have excellent project planning skills, good judgement and decision making skills; possess a proactive, hands-on approach, and an understanding and experience of operations SFG20.

* Please note that this role will be based in the Central Belt and will require regular travel between Edinburgh and Falkirk.

Service Coordinator

The Service Coordinator will assist the Operations Managers in the day-to-day co-ordination and management of the business’ operational maintenance activities. The role will be responsible for monitoring, controlling and managing business operations to meet customer expectations and company objectives whilst ensuring a smooth and timely operational delivery. In addition, the Service Coordinator will be required to communicate and issue of work orders to field based engineers either via our electronic job issue system or telephone as required and give appropriate notification of planned appointments to customers/clients as per maintenance schedule/contract requirements.

The successful candidate will have excellent working knowledge of computer packages such as Word, Excel and Outlook along with both effective oral and written communication skills. Candidates must have the ability to organise their own workload, respond quickly to changing priorities, often under pressure whilst ensuring work is of the highest standard and that set deadlines are met.
